HAPPA currently offer two slightly different adoption schemes to help cater for the individual neds of our supporters and our equine residents.
STANDARD ADOPTION SCHEME - £35.00 pa
GOLDEN OLDIES ADOPTION SCHEME - £25.00 pa
Please choose the scheme you prefer from the options below
Adopting
an animal from HAPPA is the next best thing to actually owning your own
horse, pony or donkey.
At HAPPA, we give you the opportunity to visit,
groom and spend time with your adopted friend and we offer regular updates
and anecdotes about their life at a HAPPA Rescue Centre through the column
in our magazine.
It costs just £35 each year to adopt one of our animals and that contribution helps to pay for visits from the farrier, veterinary
care and feed as well as the day-to-day care provided by our team of
dedicated staff. In return, we will send you a personal presentation
pack containing a membership card, certificate, case history details
about your chosen animal, a HAPPA badge and a selection of HAPPA literature.
Adopting
a HAPPA pony for a friend or loved one is an ideal way to say thank you,
celebrate a special occasion or remember a loved one who has passed away.
Your
support will make a positive difference to equine welfare.

This new addition to our existing adoption scheme has been created with the elderly animal in mind.
These animals all need extra care and attention due to their advancing years and don’t always appreciate the attention of regular visitors, which is why they are unsuitable for our current scheme.
For just £25 per year, supporters of the Golden Oldies will receive an adoption pack containing information about their animal, a HAPPA mug, adoption certificate plus regular updates through the twice yearly magazine but unlike the standard scheme, the opportunity to visit and groom your pony on a regular basis will not be included.
We hope that friends and supporters who can’t visit us regularly, perhaps due to age and/or infirmity or location will want to participate and recognise that this scheme can offer even more people the opportunity to become involved in the work that HAPPA does. It will also help us to raise the profile of some of our more elderly, yet very distinguished and much loved oldies.
