HAPPA can now be found on the new eBay for Charity site.
eBay for Charity is an easy way to support charities while buying and selling
on eBay. Buyers can bid on eBay for Charity items knowing that they are helping
a worthy cause and sellers can donate a percentage of their sales to certified
charities. Charities can also sell items directly in the eBay marketplace, so
donate items to HAPPA, and we can sell them and raise funds for equine welfare.
Buy and sell on eBay today! Go to the eBay
for Charity website
Make sure you choose HAPPA. Other charities are also using eBay to use funds
and if you want to make sure your money is contributing HAPPA then please
check carefully which charity you choose.
Sellers: When selling an item on eBay for Charity simply select
HAPPA from the list of charities and choose a percentage of proceeds to donate
(10-100 per cent).
MissionFish¹ will collect your donation when the auction ends and pass this
to HAPPA (after deducting a minimal fee) - a tax receipt will also be provided
to the seller.
Buyers: Remember to look out for eBay for Charity's distinctive
blue and yellow ribbon when searching for items to buy on eBay - this will help
you to recognise items that will provide charitable donations. To view all items
that will make a contribution to HAPPA simply search for HAPPA from the eBay
homepage.
¹eBay has partnered with MissionFish, a non-profit service provider, to
manage the donation process - this includes claiming Gift Aid on your donation
if you have made a Gift Aid declaration, which means that HM Revenue & Customs
(formerly Inland Revenue) will donate an extra 28p for every pound that you give
to the HAPPA!
Note: Every successful eBay for Charity listing requires the seller to make a £5
minimum donation. This is to ensure that a meaningful donation reaches the HAPPA.
