HAPPA were delighted to be awarded ‘Best Scarecrow’ at Cheshire County Show on Tuesday 23rd June 2015.
In a new initiative organised by the Show, traders were asked to participate and build a scarecrow for The Scarecrow Trail Challenge 2015, which ran for the two day event at Tabley in Cheshire.
HAPPA engaged proactively and the whole team at Shores Hey Farm got stuck into the challenge producing an original equine masterpiece ‘Charge of the Fright Brigade’, featuring a solider and his trusty stead riding into battle.
Visitors to the Show were able to enter The Scarecrow Trail Challenge to try and find as many as possible throughout the whole of the showground. On each day visitors were asked to vote for their favourite from over 100 scarecrows.
HAPPA were presented as the worthy winners on Tuesday by Show Officials.
Julie Rickwood-Gan, HAPPA Development Officer explains “When we heard about the Challenge we knew that HAPPA had to get involved. Everyone who came to visit the HAPPA stand was amazed at our rider and his horse. It was a great team effort by everyone at Shores Hey Farm, and a fabulous accolade for the Charity to be announced winners. We must thank everyone who voted for us and put HAPPA ‘on the map’!”
