Nature Walks at Shores Hey Farm HAPPA's Nature Trail Walks 2010
The Green Partnership is a partnership between Lancashire County Council, Environment Agency and the County's local Councils. It provides funding and expertise to groups who want to make a difference to the area in which they live and work and supports projects that have a lasting environmental benefit, involve the community and benefit the community, local wildlife and landscape. All the Nature Walks start at Shores Hey Farm Rescue Centre, Briercliffe at 2.30pm and finish at 3.30pm. Call 01282 455992 for more details. Sunday 4th April- Nature Stroll at Easter Fayre. Monday 3rd May - Ponies and Puppies (as part of Burnley Walking Festival). Bring your canine companion for a walk in the valley. Sunday 30th May - Signs of late spring and looking at plants that are poisonous to horses. Sunday 27th June - Gnome Hunt. Gnome crafts at 1.45pm (small charge for this activity) Sunday 25th July - Thursden Beck, looking at the fish and animals that live in the river. Sunday 22nd August - Dinosaur Hunt and looking at Ancient Giant Horsetail Plants. Dinosaur crafts at 1.45pm (small charge for this activity). Sunday 26th September - Autumn Woodland Walk. Walks are suitable for adults and children of all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Free leaflets and quiz sheets given out on the day - sweets for completing them!! << back |
