HILLENDALE LAND ROVER HELP HAPPA SAVE LIVES A Land Rover Defender donated by Hillendale to assist Welfare Officers
HAPPA receives around 20 requests for assistance every week at its Headquarters in Briercliffe, Nr Burnley and the new vehicle will help the team to attend these calls quickly and efficiently. The new vehicle is perfect for coping with rural and off road inspections and will be particularly useful during the winter months when calls are set to rise and conditions become more challenging during the winter months. Lee Collins, Managing Director at Hillendale Land Rover, commented: “We are delighted to be able to give this Land Rover Defender to HAPPA to help them continue to provide their invaluable service. They needed a robust, high quality vehicle to assist them in getting to incidents across the country. The Defender is widely known to be extremely reliable and makes for easier off road driving which is a must for the staff at HAPPA as they do have to cover some challenging areas. I am sure our vehicle will help the team to save many animals over the coming years!” Ken Cranage, Chairman of HAPPA, responded:”As an organisation we have to attend several calls a day in rural locations all across the country. So we are delighted to have received this new vehicle and we certainly couldn’t have picked a vehicle better fit for its purpose. The Defender is ideal for towing horseboxes, attending to animals in rural areas and to use off-road which is often necessary for this job. This donation means we will be relieved of the cost of the vehicle and that extra money can now be spent directly on equine welfare. We are very thankful to Hillendale and we are pleased to be able to work with another local company with similar values to our own.” HAPPA is enjoying its platinum anniversary this year, celebrating 70 years of saving lives. This gesture offers a positive mandate for the next 70 years and marks the beginning of a great partnership between two great names – HAPPA and Hillendale! << back |
