For our organisation to be successful, we need people as well as money. YOU
CAN HELP by becoming a HAPPA volunteer.
Events Organiser
We need to arrange lots of different and exciting events to promote HAPPA
and to raise funds and are looking for people with creative and organisational
skills to help us
Events Team Member
Many hands make light work so we need lots of enthusiastic people to
help out at events. Jobs include, moving and setting up equipment, selling
HAPPA items, arranging displays, collecting and delivering items, general
stewarding and administrative duties etc
Collecting Box Co-ordinator
It’s important to find new sites for our HAPPA collection boxes
and to make sure all our boxes are emptied regularly. If you have time
to spare during the day, use of a vehicle and a telephone then we hope
you’ll get in touch
Admin
/ Telephone Duties
These include packing our regular newsletter, keeping records, administering
our volunteer programme, general correspondence etc. We would like people
with admin skills and a few hours a week to spare to help us with this
important volunteer role. Please note that volunteers for this position
should live within easy distance of our headquarters at Briercliffe,
Nr Burnley
Pickers and Packers
We really need people who can spare a few hours on a regular basis to
service the requests relating to the appeal. This could mean filling
envelopes, packing promotional items ready for postage, counting and
packing leaflets for delivery etc. Please note that volunteers for this
position should live within easy distance of our headquarters at Briercliffe,
Nr Burnley
Duties at our Visitor’s Centre
If you live locally to Breircliffe, Nr Burnley or Brockweir,
Nr Chepstow then you would be a suitable volunteer to help out at our
Visitor’s Centres. We have a Visitor’s Centre at each of our Rescue Centres
and duties will include helping with the preparation of drinks and light
snacks and assisting staff who are on hand to sell HAPPA items to members
of the public and answer questions about the organisation. We desperately
need volunteers to help us provide a good service to the many people
who visit our Centre’s on a daily basis.
