Ben and his friend Jerry came into the Centre after they were found emaciated. They both received treatment on arrival for lice, rain scald and nutritional advice in order for them to gain weight slowly. Ben had poor lower limb conformation of which he received remedial shoeing for after settling down when coming out of isolation where both horse spent three weeks.
Ben and Jerry settled into the yard well and the staff at the Centre enjoyed having them around. The staff named the horses after their favourite ice cream!
Ben has flourished since being rescued and is now a stunner, standing at 13.1hh, he has a beautiful chestnut coat and a bubbly personality to match.
Jerry found his perfect match in a Forever Home, but Ben is still waiting.
