Appeal for Missing Charity Pony

HAPPA are appealing to the public to get in touch if they have any news on the whereabouts of one of their ponies, who had been living at its Forever Home in the Wigan area.

HAPPA Lottie, a pretty 12.2hh Bright Bay Welsh-type mare, went missing from her field at her Forever Home on Thursday 4th June 2020 and was last spotted on Hemfield Road, Wigan, WN2 that afternoon.

Amanda Berry, Head of Equine Operations at HAPPA explains “There has been an extensive search of the area, we have contacted vets and equine businesses and practitioners, the press have run appeals, over 10,000 people have shared our appeal through social media channels. We have had someone fly a drone over the area to see if there was any trace and local people have gathered to search for Lottie, but to no avail. Following the first sighting of her on that Thursday the trail has gone cold. Public and press support has been immense we just hope that we can get her home. We believe she could have been taken in by someone who found her and doesn’t know what to do. If anyone finds a pony matching Lottie’s description, please get in touch.”
