The HAPPA Team are passionate about educating the next generation on how to care for a horse or pony correctly. The Beginners Guide to Horse and Pony Care Part 2 does exactly that and is now available to complete at HAPPA, Shores Hey Farm, Burnley, Lancashire BB10 3QU.
The day is packed full of fantastic learning opportunities and is designed to continue children (Aged 7+) on their learning journey, covering all the knowledge needed to care for a horse or pony correctly.
The Charity’s Equine Care Team and the HAPPA horses will deliver a fun and inspiring learning experience with a blend of classroom and hands on activities. An end of day assessment will solidify the learning experience.
Part 2 learning includes:
- Recap of Level 1
- Breeds, Colours & Markings
- Field Management
- Common Exercise Boots & Purpose
- Tack up to Lunge
- Lunge Practical
Please note, lunch is not provided, so, participants will have to bring a packed lunch.
After successfully completing Part 2, all participants will receive a certificate of completion.
