HAPPA Ambassador Scheme
HAPPA are delighted to launch new additions to the existing Ambassador Scheme.
HAPPA Ambassadors volunteer in opportunities which help support the Charity to achieve its core mission of Rescue, Rehabilitation, Rehoming and Education.
Although not directly involved in equine welfare, HAPPA Ambassadors allow the Charity to promote and raise the profile of the Charity, raise income, support events, liaise with stakeholders and even photography to help promote our animals for re-homing.
We are looking for those who care with time to spare to help HAPPA to continue its mission.

Overview of new roles
E-COMMERCE WAREHOUSE AMBASSADOR
To provide support to HAPPA’s E-commerce site to ensure the Charity continues to raise vital funds.
To endorse the Charity’s mission and values; continuing to promote equine welfare through Rescue, Rehabilitation, Rehoming and Education
This position requires organisational skills and the ability to work on own.
Core voluntary hours will be between the hours of 10am-2pm weekdays from July 2016.
EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT AMBASSADOR
To provide assistance to HAPPA’s Educational Activities and Events which support the Charity’s mission of providing equine welfare through education.
To endorse the Charity’s mission and values; continuing to promote equine welfare through Rescue, Rehabilitation, Rehoming and Education
This position requires a nurturing nature, patience and child-care skills.
Core voluntary hours will be between the hours of 11am-4pm at least twice a month.
EVENTS AND PROMOTIONS SUPPORT AMBASSADOR
To provide support to HAPPA and Shores Hey Farm Events and Promotions, allowing the Charity to raise funds and awareness to continue to lead the field in equine welfare.
To endorse the Charity’s mission and values; continuing to promote equine welfare through Rescue, Rehabilitation, Rehoming and Education
Ambassadors will be of a friendly disposition to enable and encourage customers/ visitors/ supporters/ prospects to feel supported, welcomed and valued.
This position requires energy, enthusiasm and motivation.
Core voluntary hours will be between the hours of 11am-4pm, although longer days at large events could be considered.
NATURE WALK LEADER AMBASSADOR
To provide a leadership role to HAPPA’s Nature Walk.
This role provides another element to Shores Hey Farm visitor experience and encourages visitors to enjoy all the nature and views available within the Thursden Valley.
Ambassadors will be of a friendly disposition to enable and encourage visitors to feel supported, welcomed and valued.
To endorse the Charity’s mission and values; continuing to promote equine welfare through Rescue, Rehabilitation, Rehoming and Education, and HAPPA’s commitment to the environment.
This position requires a love of the outdoors and enjoyment in walking.
Core voluntary hours will be between the hours of 1pm-4pm every last Sunday of the month.
NATURE WALK SUPPORT AMBASSADOR
To provide assistance to HAPPA’s Nature Walk Ambassadors within the monthly Nature Walk programme. This role provides another element to Shores Hey Farm visitor experience and encourages visitors to enjoy all the nature and views available within the Thursden Valley.
Ambassadors will be of a friendly disposition to enable and encourage visitors to feel supported, welcomed and valued.
To endorse the Charity’s mission and values; continuing to promote equine welfare through Rescue, Rehabilitation, Rehoming and Education, and HAPPA’s commitment to the environment.
This position requires a love of the outdoors and enjoyment in walking.
Core voluntary hours will be between the hours of 1pm-4pm every last Sunday of the month.
PETS AT HOME LIAISON AMBASSADOR
To provide a confident, interactive relationship between HAPPA and Pets at Home stores. To support fundraising activities in conjunction with Support Adoption for Pets.
Ambassadors will be of a friendly disposition to enable and encourage customers to feel supported, welcomed and valued.
To endorse the Charity’s mission and values; continuing to promote equine welfare through Rescue, Rehabilitation, Rehoming and Education.
This position requires a confident networker with a love for meeting and speaking to people.
Core voluntary hours will be between the hours of 11am-4pm at least twice a month, at Colne and Burnley stores.
PHOTOGRAPHER AMBASSADOR
To provide support to HAPPA Centre by photographing events, activities, shop items, buildings and equines.
Ambassadors will be of a friendly disposition to enable and encourage visitors to feel supported, welcomed and valued.
To endorse the Charity’s mission and values which provide equine welfare through Rescue, Rehabilitation, Rehoming and Education.
This position requires energy, enthusiasm and motivation.
Core voluntary hours will be between the hours of 8am-12noon.
TACK SHACK AMBASSADOR
To assist in the delivery of excellent customer care and service, bringing a wealth of equestrian specialism, providing information and advice to clients visiting, donating and shopping in the Tack Shack.
Ambassadors will be of a friendly disposition to enable and encourage customers to feel supported, welcomed and valued.
To endorse the Charity’s mission and values; continuing to promote equine welfare through Rescue, Rehabilitation, Rehoming and Education.
This position requires knowledge of equine tack and the use of specialist equipment.
Core voluntary hours will be between the hours of 11am-4pm daily (including weekends).
