HAPPA’s Grand Open Day: Heroes and Villains

September 3, 2019

HAPPA are celebrating their 4th Anniversary of the developments at Shores Hey Farm, Briercliffe, Burnley by staging a Grand Open Day that takes place on Saturday 7th September at 11am.
The theme for this year’s event is Heroes and Villains and visitors are encouraged to join in the fun and spot the Heroes and Villains at Shores Hey Farm.
Entry to the event is just £2 per adult, £1 for children three years and over.
Displays in the Indoor Arena include the HAPPA ponies tackling their own ‘crime-fighting’ and at 1.45pm there will be a Children’s Fancy Dress Competition.
HAPPA’s farrier Callum Mossop will be providing a demonstration on how to shoe a HAPPA horse and how to trim a pony’s feet and there will also be the chance to groom a HAPPA pony.
There will be a number of local craft stalls, tombola, raffle, hook-a-duck, face-painting and glitter tattoos. Shores Hey Farm’s new Build a Bear will launch on the day, with the opportunity for kids of all ages to take a cuddly friend home! The Café will be open as usual, with a special menu for the event.
Younger guests are also encouraged to keep their eyes open for special appearances from HAPPA’s mascot Tommy Trotter throughout the day.
With lots to see and do this will certainly be a Grand Day Out for all the family.
