"My family were devastated after losing our Sec D. After 15 years, Chester had taken my girls through Pony Club and had been a horse in a million. My horse was now alone and unhappy so we looked into the prospect of getting another to keep him company. We went to HAPPA to see if there was anything suitable. Two horses matched our criteria and after riding both of them we fell in love with HAPPA Lulu and said we would like her. We filled in the relevant paperwork and out stables and premises were inspected the week after to make sure they were suitable. The following Saturday we went to collect her and brought her home".
"Having owned horses of all disciplines for many years I decided to adopt a horse from HAPPA. Ten day after arrival on our yard we took him to a local Agricultural Show for the Hunter Class, he was amazing and won his class, he was in his element being admired by the public. Another two outings brought two more red rosettes and the judges loved him. As an older person I find it reassuring that HAPPA Moss' future is secure, that if anything happens and circumstances change, he will always be cared for by HAPPA and never sold or passed on. I was offered so much support and allowed to try Moss many times to ensure that we were right for each other and of course the HAPPA team are delighted that he is doing well and is happy and settled. There are so many genuine sound kind horses at HAPPA waiting to find a Forever Home".
Happily on loan to a fantastic mother and daughter who enjoy all round success with him, Sham is versatile, he can turn his hoof to anything and is doing well in his Forever Home. His borrower says "Sham knows his own mind; is very strong, he makes my heart melt every time I look at him, I feel privileged and blessed to have him share our lives’". Earlier last year the family lost their own pony, a companion to Sham, and didn't hesitate at taking another HAPPA pony on loan, this time a cute Shetland, HAPPA Little John. The family are passionate about Shetland ponies and have enjoyed showing and driving them in the past; they are knowledgeable and equipped to accommodate all of his individual needs.
