The Ken Cranage Memorial Award for Services to Equine Welfare

Voting is OPEN!

Last year HAPPA announced the very exciting addition of a special award, to recognise those within the Industry, who go above and beyond in the name of animal welfare. The Ken Cranage Memorial Award for Services to Equine Welfare is dedicated to HAPPA’s late President in memory of his contribution to equine welfare and the Charity.

The presentation of this Award we felt would most aptly fit at Ken’s favourite HAPPA fundraiser, the Annual Ball. Therefore, in his memory this fantastic event made a comeback at Burnley Football Club in the April.

A select judging panel had been put together to review all those nominated to decide who would take home the fabulous trophy.

The winner of the Ken Cranage Memorial Award for Services to Equine Welfare 2019 was Ryan Rouse of Bransby Horses. Congratulations Ryan, who accepted his trophy at the Event.

HAPPA are now accepting nominations to help us to find the deserving winner for 2020. Voting forms are here…https://www.happa.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/ken-cranage-trophy.doc

We aim to make this an Industry wide recognition and believe that many of you will know of someone in an equine welfare association, paid or voluntary who would be deserving of this accolade.

The Ball will be held on Saturday 9th May at Burnley Football Club, a three course meal and entertainment with the fantastically talented Gavin Young is planned and promises to be a great night, and of course our winner will be announced!
