Over the past few years our Equine Inspectors have responded to 702 complaints of cruelty and neglect. The need for this service grows year after year. We have 233 equines accommodated in homes through our Loan Scheme, these horses always have a safe haven at Shores Hey Farm to return to should circumstances change. We continue to offer exemplary standards of rehabilitation to up to 60 horses at any time through our equestrian facilities in Burnley, Lancashire. The Team are constantly looking at ways to improve care standards and are dedicated to developing their skills and knowledge.

We believe education and support can improve the quality of care given to equines, so reducing welfare concerns. We can reduce neglect and suffering through educating those who already own a horse, and need our help and support to learn how to care for the animal correctly, and those who are thinking of buying or loaning a horse but do not have sufficient basic knowledge to look after the horse or pony’s care needs.   We believe that every equine deserves a Second Chance in a private home to enjoy a lifetime of love and happiness.   We are completely funded by the generosity of supporters just like you.
