We are just a short drive from Burnley town centre and easily accessible from the M65.

Parking Information

Free on-site parking is available for all visitors.

  • Dedicated accessible parking spaces are located on The HAPPA Café car park

  • Parking is flat and easy to navigate

  • There is ample space for families and larger vehicles, however

  • We kindly advise horse boxes park on the bottom car park for accessibility to the Indoor and Outdoor Arena

There is no charge for parking on both car parks and no time limit during your visit.

Throughout the year, we host a range of special events, including family fun days, equestrian competitions and events such as dressage, educational workshops and our award winning Own a Pony Days.

On selected dates, visitors can also book pony experiences such as pony rides and pony grooming sessions. These experiences must be booked at Reception on the day and can be found on our Events page.

HAPPA is a registered charity, and every visit directly supports the care, rehabilitation and rehoming of vulnerable equines. We aim to create an environment that is calm, welcoming and educational for visitors of all ages – a place where families can make meaningful memories while supporting a cause that matters.

Dogs at HAPPA

We are proud to be dog friendly! This applies to Shores Hey Farm and The HAPPA Café.

Canine companions can join us in the lower tier of The HAPPA Café, with readily available water bowls and dispensers, cooling mats and accessories, or ask for look at our Dog Menu. Explore the great outdoors as dogs on leads are welcome around the stables and field tracks.

We also offer Indoor Bark Park arena hire — a secure, enclosed space for dogs to exercise safely (pre-booking required).

We kindly ask all dog owners to clean up after their pets and ensure dogs remain under control at all times.

The HAPPA Café, HAPPA Direct & Facilities

The HAPPA Café is an award winning, welcoming, relaxed space overlooking the Lancashire countryside. It’s the perfect place to pause during your visit.

We serve a range of delicious homemade meals, light bites, cakes and hot/cold drinks, with options available for children and a variety of dietary requirements. Whether you’re joining us for a full day out or simply popping in for coffee and cake, the café is open to all visitors, no entry ticket required.

Browse riding essentials, country gifts and souvenirs at HAPPA Direct. Open to all visitors, with every purchase helping fund the care of our rescued horses and ponies.

Do I need to book before visiting HAPPA?

We recommend booking in advance to secure your visit, particularly during weekends, school holidays and busy periods. While tickets may be available to purchase on the day at reception, pre-booking helps avoid disappointment.

We also strongly advise pre-booking for café visits and all events or experiences, as availability can be limited.

Is HAPPA suitable for toddlers?

Yes. HAPPA is a relaxed, family-friendly environment with wide pathways suitable for pushchairs.

Is HAPPA accessible for wheelchair users?

Yes. We have step-free access throughout the visitor areas, accessible toilets and accessible parking spaces located close to the entrance.

Can I bring my dog?

Absolutely! Well-behaved dogs are welcome on leads in designated outdoor areas and downstairs in The HAPPA Café.

We recommend comfortable footwear and weather-appropriate clothing, as some areas are outdoors.
