What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid is a UK government scheme that lets charities claim back the tax you’ve already paid on your donations. That means for every £1 you give, we can claim an extra 25p – making your donation go even further without costing you a penny more.

Who Can Use Gift Aid?

You can say “Yes” if:

You’re a UK taxpayer.
You’ve paid Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax in the current tax year (equal to or more than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on your donations).
You complete a simple declaration (it only takes a minute!).

If you stop paying tax or your details change, just let us know.

How Do I Add It On?

It’s easy! Just tick the Gift Aid box when making a donation online, or complete a quick form if you’re donating in person or by post. Your declaration covers all donations from the past four years and any future ones – unless you tell us otherwise.

Higher Rate Taxpayer? You Can Claim Too!

If you pay tax at 40% or 45%, you can claim the difference between the basic and higher rate on your Self Assessment tax return. This means your donation could be worth even more – both to us and to you!
