HAPPA Dobby came in as part of a large rescue in December 2017, he was found in a collapsed state, unable to rise and emaciated. Dobby had been living in a tiny stall which was full of horse excrement with no sign of hay or water. There were several horses at the scene including one which sadly didn’t make it.

Dobby was immediately seized under the Animal Welfare Act 2006 and since his rescue his owners were successfully prosecuted. Dobby was just 12 months old at the time of rescue, he had long feet and thrush in all of his hoofs. He had a body condition score of 0.5 which is very poor, a heavy lice infestation alongside a heavy worm burden. The environment he lived in was inadequate and unsuitable for horses.

Dobby has recovered well and has now found his Forever Home.
