Eve is a beautiful mare, looking for a special person to share her senior years with. At 18 years old, Eve has clearly had a great ridden life.

She is a true professional under saddle, well behaved and sensible out hacking in company. She arrived in December, so we are taking our time to introduce her to hacking alone, though we don’t feel there will be any issues. She is making great progress, and with the right person, will continue to grow in confidence.

Due to being pigeon-toed, she is no longer suited to schooling work full time. While Eve looks to be a strong independent mare, she is actually a sensitive lady underneath. She can sometimes find stabled life stressful at times, and she prefers being handled in a larger, more open area. She enjoys being groomed out of her stable, is great to bath and is good with both the farrier and vet.

When you first meet Eve, she might give you her grumpy mare face, but this is her way of protecting herself while she figures you out. Once you gain her trust, the grumpy exterior slides. ECO’s have found a tasty treat or Horselyx is a quick way to her heart.

Eve is a pleasure with others in the field. She turns out with both mares and geldings and does enjoy their company.

Eve needs a understanding home where she won’t be rushed and would benefit being on a small quiet yard and a stable situated away from passing people as she values her personal space.

Once you build a genuine bond with Eve, you will be rewarded with a lovely mare who deserves a quiet space and outdoor handling in her later years.
