Jasmine is a gorgeous 16-year-old Welsh mare standing around 12.2hh. She arrived here at Shores Hey Farm in June 2025 with her beautiful filly Belle at foot. When she arrived, she was extremely timid and scared due to not having much human interaction, but with lots of time, patience and understanding, she soon came round and is now looking for her forever home as a companion.

Jasmine is an easy mare who just loves a quiet life and lots of food. She can be turned out with mares and geldings. On the ground, Jasmine is a pleasure to deal with. She has good manners and is like a dope on a rope.

However, she does struggle to enjoy having a groom/bath etc. we regularly spend time trying to work on Jasmine’s attitude towards having quality time spent with her and coming round to being a people’s pony, but she does just enjoy being in her own company most of the time.

Jasmine will spend grooming sessions pulling her best moody faces and will threaten to bite and when it comes to picking her feet out, she can occasionally be sensitive and kick out. But we found taking your time with her really works.

Jasmine is good for the farrier (as long as they take their time) and vet. She is up to date with all routine procedures.

She would flourish in a quiet environment where she can live out and spend the rest of her days just being a pony.
