Hi, I’m Juliet,

I’m only three years old, but I’ve already been through so much. I was found running loose after breaking free from a tight rope. I was in pain, confused, and scared. My eye was badly infected, and it was clear I’d been left without care for far too long.

When HAPPA stepped in, they took me to safety right away. The vets discovered my eye had dried out and sunk into the socket from an old, untreated injury. I’ve lost sight in that eye, but thankfully it’s now stable, and I won’t need surgery. The pain has finally stopped.

I’m also expecting a foal soon. It’s a lot to take in, but I’m in a safe place now, surrounded by people who are gentle, patient and kind. I’m still very nervous, especially around my head, but the Team here are helping me slowly learn to trust again.

This is just the beginning of my journey, but I’m not alone anymore. With HAPPA’s care and support I have the chance to heal, and to give my foal a safer start than I ever had.
