Festive Wreath Making Workshops at HAPPA

Join us in the Briercliffe Suite for one of our traditional festive favourites, our ever-popular Christmas Wreath Making Workshops with Mandy, Ella & Janet.

Come along for a relaxed, feel-good session where you can unwind, get creative and immerse yourself in the sights and scents of Christmas. Mince pies and a festive hot drink are included to keep you firmly in the Christmas spirit,

Best of all, every ticket helps HAPPA give abused, neglected and abandoned horses and ponies a Second Chance.

Create Your Own Christmas Wreath

Using beautiful, natural pine, holly and seasonal greenery, you will be guided by Mandy, Ella & and Janet, our volunteer florist, as you create your very own handmade Christmas wreath.

Whether you love a traditional, classic design or want to go wild and wacky, no two wreaths will be the same. You will learn how to shape and style a natural wreath base before adorning it with seasonal treasures, creating something completely unique to you.

Your finished wreath will be ready to take home and proudly hang on your front door – a beautiful way to welcome visitors and celebrate the festive season.

What’s Included

Your workshop materials will include:

· A wire wreath hoop covered with a natural base

· An abundance of evergreen foliage

· Pinecones

· Berries

· Bells

· Baubles

· Dried fruits and other seasonal embellishments

· A choice of beautiful seasonal ribbons

· A choice of pre-made spectacular double bow

You are also very welcome to bring along any additional decorations or personal treasures you’d like to incorporate into your wreath. Christmas lights can even be added if you’d like your wreath to sparkle (you can easily source outdoor battery-operated ones on a timer).

Please bring protective gloves, particularly if you would like to work with prickly holly.

About Your Hosts

Mandy

Mandy has been making Christmas wreaths for many years, learning the craft from her mother and carrying on a much-loved family tradition.

Her signature style is a perfectly symmetrical, three-dimensional traditional wreath, beautifully created using traditional fir.

Ella

Ella has a natural flair for all things creative. An expert pony platter, she is renowned for her top-notch turnout skills and eye for detail. It didn’t take long for Ella to transfer these talents to wreath making, quickly mastering the art and developing her own signature style. With a passion for perfection, Ella’s wreaths are beautifully full, uniform and symmetrical, each one crafted with care to achieve that flawless, polished finish.

Janet

Janet is an experienced florist with more than 35 years’ knowledge and experience and has created some truly stunning wreath masterpieces.

Her traditional signature wreath is particularly special – a beautiful design made solely from variegated holly.

Together, Mandy and Janet will encourage you to experiment with the foliage, make your own creative choices and develop the confidence to create a wreath that is completely personal to you.

Workshop Details

Dates:
Monday 23rd November 2026: Evening Session, 6.30pm – 8.30pm
Saturday 28th November 2026: Morning Session,  9.30am – 12.30pm | Afternoon Session, 1pm – 4.30pm
Sunday 6th December 2026: Morning Session, 9.30am – 12.30pm | Afternoon Session 1pm – 4.30pm

Workshop length: 3 hours daytime 2 hours evening (can stay longer if you need the extra time)
Price: £52 per person Payment: Full payment is required at the time of booking.
Parking: Free parking is available at HAPPA for all Wreath Workshop attendees.

Places are available on a first come, first served basis and our wreath workshops frequently sell out, so we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.

· Tickets for HAPPA Wreath Workshops are non-refundable, and full payment must be made at the time of booking.

· If you need to cancel your place, please give us as much notice as possible.

· If a reserve list is in operation, we may be able to fill your cancelled place. Where this is possible, your booking fee may be refunded.

· Workshop places are available on a first come, first served basis.

· Workshop places are limited, so early booking is recommended.
