Our Pony Taster Day is the perfect place to begin.
Designed especially for young, beginner or nervous children aged 4+, this shorter, supportive experience offers a relaxed introduction to pony care in a safe, friendly environment at HAPPA.
Whether your child is feeling a little unsure, or simply new to ponies, this session is all about building confidence, creating positive first experiences and having fun together.
What to Expect
Across this 2-hour experience, children will enjoy a hands-on introduction to life with ponies, guided by our experienced and supportive team.
- Meet our friendly ponies
- Try a simple stable mucking out activity
- Learn how to groom a pony (with a mini hands-on session)
- Help give the ponies a snack and watch a ridden demonstration from one of our Education Ponies.
- Receive a special certificate to celebrate their day
Throughout the session, everything is delivered at a gentle pace, allowing children to feel comfortable, supported and encouraged every step of the way.

Choose from two convenient sessions:
- Morning Session: 10:00am – 12:00pm
- Afternoon Session: 1:00pm – 3:00pm
Each session follows a structured but flexible format, designed to keep children engaged without feeling rushed.
