Jack Frost is a loyal companion who has so much love to give and his kind nature makes him a very rewarding fury friend. Jack Frost would benefit from a peaceful home with only a small number of handlers which he can grow to trust.

Other donkeys aren’t liked very much by Jack so he’d prefer being a companion as an only donkey, but he loves any horse or pony that will be friendly to him. He’s great with dogs and livestock as he has a very calm personality. Jack is highly intelligent and a very fast learner.

Jack can very quickly be overwhelmed and will need time, patience and love to adjust to his new home. Once he is settled Jack really comes out of his shell, you will be wondering if he is the same donkey! He loves a stable routine, so he knows what he is expecting. You will never need an alarm clock again because he will let you know when it is time for breakfast nets!

Clipping, bathing and brushing are all appreciated by Jack and he is brilliant to have his feet trimmed, stands well for the dentist and doesn’t bat an eyelid for injections for the vet. Jack loves attention and will really form a bond with his 1-to-1 handler.

Living out is not a problem for Jack although he does love a deep straw bed as he loves to have a nap especially mid-afternoon. He is never an issue to catch but he can take a little getting used to his handler as his trust grows stronger.
