Hello, I’m Rubix,

I arrived at HAPPA with my beautiful filly, HAPPA Cube, at foot. I was rescued by another Welfare Agency after being found in disgusting conditions with a large group of equines. My hooves were extremely overgrown and I could barely stand in my stable because of the deep layers of muck beneath me. I was severely underweight, infested with lice and suffering from a heavy worm burden. All while carrying my foal.

My happier, safer, real life began when I arrived at Shores Hey Farm. The Equine Care Team worked tirelessly to bring me back to full health, alongside vets, the farrier and the dentist. Once that awful time in my life was behind me, it was time to discover what life could be like as a ridden pony…

I successfully completed the backing process and enjoyed being a rideable horse for quite some time, it was so much fun! Hacking was my favourite thing to do; I loved going on adventures. But later, the decision was made that I would spend the rest of my life as a happy companion, to avoid putting any unnecessary strain on me. I love it! I get to play in the field with my friends and eat all day, it’s the best!

These days, I feel as though I have a true purpose. I am loved and cared for, and with your support, I’ll be helping to educate people about equine welfare in the hope of saving other horses from the trauma I once endured.

I am a very good girl, I love cuddles and being fussed over. Although I’m no longer a rideable pony, I still have so much love to give and I’m grateful to have you by my side.
