Rooster came to HAPPA earlier this year in April 2026. When she arrived on site, she tested positive for strangles along with her friend Robin. She was never ill and had a negative guttural pouch test before leaving isolation.

Since being on the main yard, Rooster settled into life extremely well. She is a very chilled character and loves all the attention from the public. She greets the team every morning when its breakfast time and she is a pleasure to have on the yard.

Rooster loves having time spent with her. She enjoys being groomed, bathed and fussed with. She has been for short walks around site where she can be a little excited, but she is only a baby after all!

She is good for the vet and farrier. And she turns out in mixed groups. Rooster is currently enjoying living out in our valley. She will happily live in or out but would benefit from going out on a regular basis as she is only a young horse.
