Arlo’s journey to safety began amidst years of concerning complaints regarding a small herd of ponies left to fend for themselves on the moors. Despite the challenging circumstances, our dedicated team successfully traced the owner and collaborated to address the situation responsibly.

As the last surviving colt, he faced an uncertain fate in the wild, where he had never experienced human contact. With careful planning and patience, our team implemented a strategy to gain his trust, coaxing him into an enclosure with enticing feed and gentle gestures. Miraculously, Arlo willingly left the moor behind, stepping into the awaiting transport bound for our Rescue Centre.

Once in our care, Arlo’s transformation was nothing short of remarkable. Despite his wild upbringing, he adapted seamlessly to stable life, quickly endearing himself to our team with his gentle demeanour and eager spirit. His progress was swift, and soon, he became a cherished favourite among our Equine Care Team.

With each passing day, his confidence blossomed, and it became evident that he was destined for a brighter future. Thanks to our Temporary Foster Care Scheme, Arlo now resides in a loving home, where he continues to thrive, bringing boundless joy to those around him. As he continues to grow and flourish, Arlo is poised to become a true testament to the resilience of rescued horses.
