Sugar came to us in February alongside her friend, Spice after being rescued from the Welsh Common as part of the population control project. They were both unhandled and underweight. And not long after arriving, we discovered that Sugar was heavily in foal. We spent week after week waiting for her little one to arrive, and if we’re honest, we were incredibly worried. Sugar was only 2 years old herself, still just a baby, and carrying a foal at such a young age was a huge concern for us.

Thankfully, Sugar proved what an incredible little mum she is. She brought her beautiful colt into the world all by herself with no complications, and that’s how little Kane (or as we affectionately call him… Harry Kane!) made his entrance.

Kane was so tiny, so delicate, and absolutely perfect. From the moment he was born, everyone fell in love with him, and the media certainly did too! His start in life has been everything we could have hoped for, and we can’t wait to watch him grow into a confident young pony.

We’re especially looking forward to the day he and Ozzie can become the best of friends… although we think Ozzie might accidentally squish him if they met just yet!
