HAPPA (Horses and Ponies Protection Association) is reaching out to the community, urging anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of their beloved pony, HAPPA Lottie, to come forward. This charming pony, standing at a graceful 12.2hh and adorned with a lustrous Bright Bay coat, has captured the hearts of many with her Welsh-type elegance.
The distressing disappearance occurred from her cherished field at her Forever Home on Thursday, June 4th, 2020, leaving her caretakers and admirers deeply concerned. The last known sighting of Lottie was reported on Hemfield Road, Wigan, WN2, later that same afternoon, adding to the urgency of the search efforts.
The outpouring of support from both local residents and the wider equestrian community serves as a beacon of hope amidst the uncertainty, reaffirming the unwavering commitment to Lottie’s safe return. Every lead, no matter how small, is diligently pursued, as every piece of information brings renewed optimism in the quest to bring Lottie home.
HAPPA extends their heartfelt gratitude to all those who have already contributed to the search efforts and implores anyone with information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to come forward and help bring Lottie back to where she belongs – surrounded by love and familiarity in her Forever Home.
Amanda Berry, Head of Equine Operations at HAPPA explains “There has been an extensive search of the area, we have contacted vets and equine businesses and practitioners, the press have run appeals, over 10,000 people have shared our appeal through social media channels. We have had someone fly a drone over the area to see if there was any trace and local people have gathered to search for Lottie, but to no avail. Following the first sighting of her on that Thursday the trail has gone cold. Public and press support has been immense we just hope that we can get her home. We believe she could have been taken in by someone who found her and doesn’t know what to do. If anyone finds a pony matching Lottie’s description, please get in touch.”
