What’s On This Easter
Our Easter Half-Term Activities include something for everyone, whether you enjoy crafts, animals, or chocolate.
Train to Save a Dragon Trail
Dates: Every day from 4th to 20th April
Follow the trail and complete magical tasks to learn how to save a dragon. Those who complete the trail will receive a Ready to Save a Dragon Certificate.
Build a Chocolate Bar with Jacqueline’s Chocolates
Dates: Monday 7th and Monday 14th April
Create your own 100g handmade chocolate bar in the HAPPA Café. Choose from a variety of toppings. Proceeds from the activity go directly to supporting our work.
Woof Shack – Dog Event with Alan Cope from Ginger Pig Pet Services
Date: Saturday 5th April
Bring your dog for this free, social event featuring a talk by Alan Cope. Learn about the predatory motor pattern and the Premack principle to better understand your dog’s natural instincts and how to work with them.

Prince, Princess and Dragon Day
Date: Sunday 6th April
Join us for a magical day filled with fantasy and fun. Come dressed as your favourite character to enter the fancy dress competition, meet a mythical dragon during our live Dragon Show, enjoy face painting or glitter tattoos, and take part in crown and sword making in the activity room.
Pony Grooming Sessions
Dates: Tuesday 8th and Tuesday 15th April
Have you ever wanted to groom a horse or pony? These supervised sessions offer a hands-on experience with one of HAPPA’s gentle horses. Suitable for children aged 4 and above.
The HAPPA Café and Gift Shop
The HAPPA Café is open seven days a week, including extended hours until 8pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Enjoy a wide selection of food, hot and cold drinks, cakes, and Walling’s Ice Cream.

The HAPPA Direct Shop, located on-site, offers a fantastic selection of toys, gifts for pet lovers, and both second-hand and new horse equipment.
Dog-Friendly Facilities
Shores Hey Farm is a dog-friendly destination. We provide fresh water and treats for your canine companions, especially during warmer months. Dogs are welcome in most areas of the site.
