HAPPA delighted to be recognised in Petplan Awards

March 17, 2021

HAPPA (Horses and Ponies Protection Association) are delighted to be in the running for Animal Charity Team of the Year and Animal Charity Employee of the Year following receiving nominations through the Petplan & ADCH Animal Charity Awards 2021.
It’s in ninth year the Awards, hosted by Petplan and the Association of Dogs and Cats Homes, celebrates the outstanding work of staff and volunteers in animal charities across the UK, Ireland and Channel Islands.
Nominations are received through a dedicated online platform at Petplan and all nominees are then put forward for the final award in the categories.
HAPPA’s nominations received for Animal Charity Team of the Year recognises the whole team, both the staff and volunteers, who make HAPPA successful in continuing to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome equines from cruelty and neglect. Animal Charity Employee of the Year nomination was received for HAPPA’s Equine Care Officer, Stefan Cuttriss who has been recognised for going above and beyond in his role. This is a double celebration for Stefan who was awarded HAPPA Employee of the Year at the end of 2020.
HAPPA’s Head of Equine Operations, Amanda Berry, says “Once again we are truly grateful to members of the public who continue to support HAPPA and those who nominated us for the Award with Petplan and ADCH. This year has been particularly challenging for all the HAPPA Team, but we have continued to strive and go above and beyond to ensure the best for every horse or pony at Shores Hey Farm, and continued our investigations into cruelty and neglect. I am especially pleased for Stefan as it recognises his contribution to the Team and his care and dedication to the equines assigned to his care. I wish every nominee the best of luck for the finals”.
Petplan and ADCH have yet to announce the date for the finals due to the pandemic restrictions, and HAPPA will be waiting on some hopeful good news.
